Hace 3 días · The List of World Heritage in Danger is compiled by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization through the World Heritage Committee according to Article 11.4 of the World Heritage Convention, which was established in 1972 to designate and manage World Heritage Sites.

The first sites to be listed were the Ajanta Caves, Ellora Caves, Agra Fort, and Taj Mahal, all of which were inscribed in the 1983 session of the World Heritage Committee. The most recent sites listed were Santiniketan and the Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysalas, in 2023. [3]

The question is: Which sites should you visit during a short stay in the city? Here, I’ve ordered all of Kyoto’s 17 World Heritage Sites in order of how “rewarding” each one is.
