Panzerkorps or XXXXVII Panzer Corps) was a panzer corps of the German Army in World War II that was formerly designated as XLVII Corps. Various formations of the corps fought in the French campaign of 1940, in the invasion of Soviet Union from 1941 to 1944, and on the Western Front from June 1944 until April 1945.
History. The XXXX. Armeekorps was formed on 26 January 1940 in Lubeck in the Wehrkreis X. It took part in the invasions of France and Greece before being sent to the Eastern Front. On 15 September 1940 it was converted into a motorized corps under the name XXXX. Armeekorps (motorisiert) and was renamed XXXX. Panzerkorps on 9 July 1942.

The name was introduced in 1941, when the motorised corps (Armeekorps (mot) or AK(mot)) were renamed to panzer corps. Panzer corps were created throughout the war, and existed in the Army, the Waffen-SS and even the Luftwaffe.
After the unit was converted into the 7th Panzer Division on 18 October 1939, he relinquished command of the 7th Panzer Division to Erwin Rommel in 1940, and was appointed as commander of XL. Armeekorps on 15 February 1940, which became XL Corps (motorized) in September 1940.

16 de abr. de 2018 · With the success in the east, List reinforced the XL Panzer Corps with the 5th Panzer Division for a push through the Monastir Gap. Completing preparations by April 10, the Germans attacked south and found no Yugoslav resistance in the gap. Exploiting the opportunity, they pressed on hitting elements of W Force near Vevi, Greece.

XXXXI Panzer Corps (also written as: XLI Panzer Corps) was a Panzer (armoured) corps in the German Army during World War II. Operational history July - December 1941. The corps was originally formed, as the XXXXI Corps, on 5 February 1940 in Wehrkreis VIII as "Armeekorps (mot)".
