Zhang Xiang JP ( Chinese: 张翔; pinyin: Zhāng Xiáng; born December 1963) is a Chinese-American physicist, mechanical engineer, and academic administrator. He has been serving as the 16th and current president and vice-chancellor of the University of Hong Kong since July 2018.

Professor Xiang Zhang is the inaugural Ernest S. Kuh Endowed Chaired Professor at UC Berkeley and the Director of NSF Nano-scale Science and Engineering Center (NSEC). He is the Director of the Materials Sciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), as well as a member of the Kavli Energy Nano Science Institute.
Xiang Zhang is a physicist, optical engineer, and material scientist, who serves as President and Vice-Chancellor of The University of Hong Kong. He is the sixteenth leader appointed to this role, beginning in July 2018. Professor Zhang was born in Nanjing in Chinaʼs Jiangsu province.
