The New Midsize Airplane ( NMA ), or New Midsize Aircraft, [1] (culturally referred to as the Boeing 797) [2] is a concept airliner proposed by Boeing to fill the middle of the market segment. In 2015, Boeing determined the market was large enough to launch a new design.

The type – first discussed in 2015 – would be available in two versions: a 225-seater and a 275-seater. The former would have a 5000-NM (9,300 km) range, while the latter, 4,500 NM (8,300 km).
