Christ Church Meadow is a flood-meadow and popular walking and picnic spot in Oxford, England. [1] Roughly triangular in shape, it is bounded by the River Thames (the stretch through Oxford being known as "The Isis"), the River Cherwell, and Christ Church.
Christ Church Meadow, a lush expanse bordered by the Cherwell and Thames (or Isis) rivers, stretches away south and east of Christ Church. It's ideal for taking a leisurely half-hour walk around the perimeters, though its central swathe is fenced off to hold the college’s resident herd of longhorn cattle.
The Meadow Building is in the Venetian Gothic style, popularised in the Victorian period through the writings of one Christ Church alumnus, John Ruskin.
