The beautiful building is home to a vibrant community with a rich worshipping tradition and a world famous cathedral choir. The cathedral is visited by thousands of people each year, who pray, worship or simply enjoy the stillness it inspires.
The Choir of Christ Church, Oxford, was founded nearly 500 years ago, and is justly famous for the youthfulness of its sound and its daring and adventurous musical programming. Since 1546, the Choir has been set apart from all other collegiate and cathedral choirs since it serves both an Oxford college and a diocese at the same time, in a unique and celebrated dual foundation.
Jan 2024 • Couples. We were on a self guided tour of Harry Potter locations in Oxford so knew Christ Church was a must. We got to see the stairs from some of the films aswell as the cloisters and the inspiration for the Great Hall whilst there. We had plenty of time to explore and would definitely return in future.
