Christian August Vulpius (Weimar, 23 de enero de 1762 - ibídem, 26 de junio de 1827) fue un escritor alemán. Se educó en Jena y Erlangen . En 1790, con la ayuda de Johann Wolfgang Goethe , consiguió trabajo como secretario en una librería de Leipzig .

Christian August Vulpius (23 January 1762 – 25 June 1827) was a German novelist and dramatist. [1] . His sister married the noted German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe . Biography. He was born at Weimar, and was educated at Jena and Erlangen. In 1790, he returned to Weimar, where Goethe obtained employment for him.

El 13 de julio de 1788, conoció a Christiane Vulpius en el Parque un der Ilm, donde le entregó una petición en nombre de su hermano August Christian. Goethe abogó en varias ocasiones a favor de su futuro cuñado. Aquel verano, Goethe y Vulpius comenzaron un romance apasionado.

3 de may. de 2024 · Christian August Vulpius (born Jan. 23, 1762, Weimar, Saxe-Weimar [Germany]—died June 26, 1827, Weimar) was a German writer of popular historical novels and brother of Christiane Vulpius, Goethe’s wife. Educated at Jena and Erlangen, Vulpius became secretary to the baron of Soden at Nürnburg (1788).
On 13 July 1788, the 39-year-old Goethe met the 23-year-old Vulpius in the Park an der Ilm, where she handed him a petition on behalf of her brother Christian August. Goethe later advocated several times for his future brother-in-law. That summer, Goethe and Vulpius began a passionate love affair.
