Layla. " Layla " is a song written by Eric Clapton and Jim Gordon, originally recorded with their band Derek and the Dominos, as the thirteenth track from their only studio album, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs (1970). Its contrasting movements were composed separately by Clapton and Gordon.
Inspirada por el amor no correspondido de Clapton por Pattie Boyd, en aquel entonces la esposa de su amigo y también músico George Harrison, la canción contiene los acordes de guitarra de Eric Clapton y Duane Allman; sus famosas dos partes contrastadas fueron compuestas por separado por Eric Clapton y el batería Jim Gordon.
