Clarice de Médici, ( Florencia, 1493 - Florencia, 3 de mayo de 1528), hija de Pedro II de Médici y Alfonsina Orsini, hermana de Lorenzo II de Médici . Biografía. De acuerdo a una tradición bastante frecuente entre los Médici, a la pequeña se le dio el nombre de su abuela Clarisa Orsini .

Clarice di Piero de' Medici (1489–1528) [1] was the daughter of Piero di Lorenzo de' Medici and Alfonsina Orsini . Born in Florence, she was the granddaughter of Lorenzo de' Medici, niece of Pope Leo X and sister to Lorenzo II de' Medici. After her brother's premature death in 1519, she educated his daughter Catherine, the future Queen of France .

Clarice Orsini-Medici was a Roman noblewoman raised in an elite Roman family of Orsini branch. Her father Jacopo Orsini was the lord of Monterotondo, a papal state. One of her brothers, Orso Orsini served as the commander of the Papal army while the other Rinaldo Orsini was archbishop of Florence.

12 de feb. de 2019 · Clarice was perfect for the de’Medici Family; a modest girl with a powerful family name and she could support Lorenzo without outshining him. Lucrezia immediately settled an agreement between the two families and Clarice moved to Florence in 1469. It was not a happy marriage from the beginning.
