"Darkest Hour" is a song in the video SMG4: Mario and The Diss Track. It is a diss track sung by Saiko (vocals by Ellyn Barclay) calling Bob Bobowski out for manipulating his friends to selfishly gain fame. It is also shown that they are revealing Bob's true nature to all his fans, leading to his defeat and downfall.
It has been published to Spotify and Soundcloud.
The music video shows Saiko performing in a near empty arena, in which Mario wear a top hat, blacked-out glasses and a shark tooth necklace, and SMG4 wears a blue mohawk, with Boopkins, Luigi and Bowser working the lighting, Tari filming and Toad on sound engineering. Bob eventually glitches from his mansion to a dark space where Luigi, Boopkins, Bowser, Tari, Meggy, Mario SMG4 and Saiko appear in spotlights. Bob then sees an exit which opens, but is only a white board as he crashes into it.
A jumbotron then shows Bob celebrating his song before glitching again to his mansion burned down where silhouettes of the band stand, then glitching to the well where Mario throws Bob in.

•This is the first original song made and played on SMG4.
•The composer of this song is the American musician AJ DiSpirito, who previously had worked with Luke on ♫ The Ultimate Smash Bros ♫.
•He would later compose "Always Running" and "Breeze", the opening and ending themes of Meta Runner and Sunset Paradise respectively.
•If listened closely, Meggy is heard singing.
•Interesting, this song was named after a American heavy metal band called "Darkest Hour".
•Mario's outfit could be a reference to Guns 'N' Roses lead guitarist Saul Hudson, a.k.a Slash, who is known for wearing a top-hat and black out glasses.
