6 de sept. de 2020 · The Earl of Southesk and his fiancée Camille Ascoli were married on, 5 September 2020. The Countess of Southesk wore the Fife Fringe Tiara, which had been on exhibition at Kensington Palace, since 2018. The diamond tiara was taken off display for the Carnegie wedding.

In 1869 he was created Baron Balinhard, of Farnell in the County of Forfar, in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. This title gave the earls an automatic seat in the House of Lords. His grandson, the eleventh earl, married Princess Maud, granddaughter of King Edward VII.
On 12 November 1923 he married Princess Maud at the Royal Military Chapel, Wellington Barracks, London. Princess Maud was the younger daughter of the Alexander Duff, 1st Duke of Fife and Louise, Princess Royal.
