Sir Edward Walpole KB PC (Ire) (1706 – 12 January 1784) was a British politician, and a younger son of Sir Robert Walpole, Prime Minister from 1721 to 1742. Early life [ edit ] The second son of Sir Robert Walpole, he was educated at Eton (1718) and King's College, Cambridge (1725) and studied law at Lincoln's Inn (1723), where he was called to the bar in 1727.

Edward Walpole Browne was born in 1767, and died 15 Oct. 1846, at Spittal, Berwick-upon-Tweed. He was of a family of high respectability, long seated at Godmenstone, co. Dorset, being a descendant, lineally and collaterally we presume, of Sir John Browne, Kt., who died a Rear-Admiral in 1627, at the age of 69, and of Sir Robt.

We stayed there until about the early part of 1942 and during this time, I only ever saw my mother and father occasionally, as they had to go back to Coventry on war work. Early 1942 my grandfather had to retire from the farm as the estate was sold to Walpole Brown of Coventry.
