15 de abr. de 2024 · I love this flea market. We go to PV at least twice a year and this is one of our first stops when in downtown. The vendors have decent prices and a wide selection of souvenirs to choose from. It was sad to see that the Rio Cuale flooded them during the recent hurricane but they will recover.

This market, located in the center of the city and Puerto Vallarta’s primary market, was created in the early XX century but became a big deal at the end of the ’70s. Alejandro Zohn was in charge of the architectural project between 1977 and 1979. Sayulita Farmers’ Market – Mercado del Pueblo
The story of this market starts in 2009 with a small group of organizers, six vendors, and a borrowed, vacant lot that was overgrown. All markets in this pacific town may seem to offer the same, but if you visit them all, you’ll see different products and quality in all of them, get to know them, and have a wonderful time with the music and all the food around.
The outdoor flea market in Viejo Vallarta, just off the Malecon walkway, starts by the beach and wanders up through a pathway that takes you about three streets up. It was wonderful to "chit chat" with stall vendors, and haggle on the occasional piece of hand-made Mexican culture.
