Frederick, Prince of Wales, born Frederick Louis; (1 February 1707 – 31 March 1751) was the son of George II and Queen Caroline of Ansbach and the father of King George III. Prince Frederick, ca. 1724.

By this time the prince had shown himself to be an excellent courtier in Britain, impressing many with his wit, gallantry and dancing skills, to the annoyance of his parents.

Not only did his grandfather travel to Britain to take up his place as King, but Frederick's parents (George, now Prince of Wales, and Caroline of Ansbach) were summoned to take up their place in court too.
