Albrecht Inc. was founded in 1929 as a commercial real estate business by Frederick Wilhelm Albrecht, a German immigrant who settled in the Akron Ohio area.

Prince Frederick Henry Albert of Prussia (German: Friedrich Heinrich Albrecht; 4 October 1809 – 14 October 1872) was the fifth son and youngest child of King Frederick William III of Prussia and Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. His parents had fled to East Prussia after the occupation of Berlin by Napoleon, and Albert was born in Königsberg.

9 de abr. de 2016 · In 1891, Frederick Wilhelm Albrecht, 30, left Massillon for Akron to begin his dream of owning a chain of grocery stores. He started his first Acme No. 1 at the corners of Buchtel, Sumner and Center streets in what is now the heart of the University of Akron campus.
