Taylor became a leading member of the Land Reform Union , and of the League for Taxing Land Values, addressing in their behalf large audiences, chiefly of working men, both in England and Ireland.

  7. Helen Taylor was not part of the first Democratic Federation delegation, but she began traveling back and forth to Ireland in the winter of 1881–82. She came to represent a nodal point in the networks linking the Ladies’ Land League, the women’s rights movement, land nationalization, and the Democratic Federation.
