Hace 1 día · In the 1970s, the BBC did three series of plays on the Tudors. “In the Shadow of the Tower” about Henry VII, “The Six Wives of Henry VIII”, and “Elizabeth R”. I wasn’t a big fan of the first one, but “The Six Wives” was great (except for Catherine Howard, although that’s a whole other rant) so I suggest you watch those.

The events surrounding the annulment of Henry’s marriage to his first wife, Catherine of Aragon, and his marriage to Anne led him to break with the Roman Catholic Church and brought about the English Reformation.
