22 de nov. de 2018 · Hitchcock’s film, also known as Strauss’ Great Waltz, was based on Walzer aus Wien(“Waltzes from Vienna”), an opera which was adapted into a Broadway musical. With music by Strauss II, the opera and musical were both popular at the time. Hitchcock, however, discarded most of the musical numbers, keeping just a few major musical motifs.
