Though it has been left largely uninhabited since the 18th century, the towering Hohenzollern Castle remains one of Germany's most visited palaces for its fairytale views. Atop a formidable hill surrounded by Germany’s Black Forest rests the high-walled fortress of Hohenzollern Castle.
The sculptures around and inside the castle are the work of Gustav Willgohs. Like Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Hohenzollern Castle is a monument to German Romanticism which incorporated an idealized vision of a medieval knight's castle.

El castillo de Hohenzollern (del alemán: Burg Hohenzollern) es un castillo situado 50 kilómetros al sur de Stuttgart vinculado a los orígenes de la Dinastía Hohenzollern, familia que llegó al poder durante la Edad Media y gobernó Prusia y Brandeburgo hasta el final de la Primera Guerra Mundial .
13 de oct. de 2021 · Burg Hohenzollern is located in the Swabian Alps or Schwäbische Alb, close to the Black Forest and at the edge of the Baden-Württemberg region in Germany. It's perched high upon a hill which makes that you can spot it from afar. There are no large gardens, but visitors can walk around the courtyard and the castle walls, which is what I did.
14 de feb. de 2024 · Can you go inside Hohenzollern Castle? Yes, Hohenzollern Castle is now open to the public and you can walk through and see most of the rooms for yourself. There are also regular guided tours.
