Sir Isaac Newton FRS (25 December 1642 – 20 March 1726/27 [a]) was an English polymath active as a mathematician, physicist, astronomer, alchemist, theologian, and author who was described in his time as a natural philosopher. [7] He was a key figure in the Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment that followed.

Isaac Newton nació el 4 de enero de 1643 (aunque en ese entonces el calendario usado era el juliano), y correspondía al 25 de diciembre de 1642, día de la Navidad. 4 El parto fue prematuro aparentemente y nació tan pequeño que nadie pensó que lograría vivir mucho tiempo. 5 Su vida corrió peligro por lo menos durante una semana.
Isaac Newton. Conocedor de los estudios sobre el movimiento de Galileo y de las leyes de Kepler sobre las órbitas de los planetas, Newton estableció las leyes fundamentales de la dinámica (ley de inercia, proporcionalidad de fuerza y aceleración y principio de acción y reacción) y dedujo de ellas la ley de gravitación universal.
