ISUComm is Iowa State University’s communication-across-the-curriculum initiative. The goal of ISUComm is to strengthen student communication and enhance students’ critical thinking skills by creating opportunities for them to practice communication skills throughout their academic careers.
Iowa State University’s communication curriculum, based on these five principles, seeks to enrich the student’s understanding of the various subjects studied as well as prepare the student to communicate successfully in professional, civic, and private life.

Abram Anders is the Director of ISUComm Foundation Courses and an Associate Professor of English at Iowa State University. He received his Ph.D. in English from Pennsylvania State University.
