James Douglas Muir Leno ( / ˈlɛnoʊ /; born April 28, 1950) [1] is an American television host, writer and comedian. After doing stand-up comedy for years, he became the host of NBC 's The Tonight Show from 1992 until 2009 when Conan O'Brien took over as host.

1 de may. de 2024 · Jay Leno (born April 28, 1950, New Rochelle, New York, U.S.) is an American comedian and writer who became host of The Tonight Show (1992–2009, 2010–14). Leno was raised in Andover, Massachusetts. While attending Emerson College in Boston, where he graduated (1972) with a degree in speech therapy, he worked as a stand-up comic in nightclubs.
