Jean Paul Marat. Nació el 24 de mayo de 1743, en Boudry, Neuchâtel, en un hogar modesto, que profesaba la religión protestante, constituido por Jean Paul Marat, que había sido sacerdote, aficionado al dibujo, natural de Cerdeña, y por la ginebrina, Louise Cabriol, siendo el mayor de cinco hermanos. En 1759 falleció su madre.
