Laeken (French:) or Laken (Dutch: [ˈlaːkə(n)] ⓘ) is a residential suburb in the north-western part of the Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium. It belongs to the municipality of the City of Brussels and is mostly identified by the Belgian postal code: 1020. Prior to 1921, it was a separate municipality.

The Palace of Laeken is mainly a residential palace and has a more sober and intimate character than the Royal Palace of Brussels. Since 1999, it has been the residence of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde with their family.

It is an excellent opportunity to see the wonderful architecture of Alphonse Balat, the mentor of Victor Horta, and the many plants in the greenhouses.
Laeken es un barrio que muchas de las personas que acuden a Bruselas no saben que lo visitan, pero lo cierto es que prácticamente todo el mundo que acude a la capital belga pasa por el mismo, ya que aquí se encuentra el icono de Bélgica, el Atomium.
Laeken is known as the royal commune. It is where the King of Belgium lives, as do his parents Albert and Paola, and even his sister Astrid. But Laeken is also a bustling district home to another palace - albeit less royal in nature - Brussels Expo and a football temple, the King Baudouin Stadium.
