The Embraer Legacy 450/500 and Praetor 500/600 are a family of mid-size and super mid-size business jets built by Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer. The aircraft family was launched with the Legacy 500 in April 2008 and were the first jets in the size category to feature a flat-floor stand-up cabin and fly-by-wire .

The Legacy 500 takes 22 minutes to reach the typical cruise altitude of 43000 ft, but the aircraft has a service ceiling of 45000 ft. In the standard 8-passenger configuration, the Legacy 500 has a range of 2948 nautical miles plus IFR reserves and provisions for diverting out to 200 nautical miles.

28 de feb. de 2022 · The Embraer Legacy 500 had its first flight on November 27, 2012 and was certified in Brazil on August 12, 2014 followed by EASA and FAA approval at the end of September. An assembly line for the Legacy 500 was opened in Melbourne, Florida in June 2016 and production ended in 2020.
