14 de may. de 2024 · In the nineteenth century a German historian Leopold von Ranke an indispensable contribution to modernizing history writing [1, p. 2, 2, p. 171]. Ranke (1795–1886) not only established history as a major discipline, but he also established the idea that all accurate history must be based on primary sources and rigorous methodology [1, p.13, 3].
