Liselotte Mettler is an Austrian-German surgeon who specializes in endocrinology, reproductive medicine, gynecological endoscopy and gynecological oncology. Mettler is a professor emeritus for the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Kiel University , Germany [2] where she worked closely with Kurt Semm .

Professor Emeritus Liselotte Mettler was the first in the 1980’s from Northern Germany to learn In-Vitro Fertilization from Professors Robert Edwards and Patrick Steptoe. She worked in 1976 for 6 months with Robert Edwards in Cambridge in his department of Physiology.
