- Su expansión por el mundo. En 1875, Rémy Martin comenzó a exportar las primeras cajas de Louis XIII a Escandinavia y Australia. A finales de 1880, el espirituoso llegó a países como Sudáfrica, China, Japón, Indonesia e India.

He named this very special cognac after the 17th-century French King LOUIS XIII, who was the first French monarch to recognise cognac as a category of brandy in its own right. It is also a tribute to the time when the House of Rémy Martin was first established in the Cognac region.

Its exceptional flavor profile is the result of a meticulous blending process, overseen by the Master Blender who carefully selects the finest eaux-de-vie for each batch.
The starting point is a light acidic wine, fermented across a leisurely one-to-two-week period, low in alcohol because that is always the preferred basis for a superior cognac. All pips were removed from the grapes at the point of pressing, to avoid any unwanted tannins in the future eaux-de-vie.
