Successfully navigating the challenging economic circumstances of the 1930s, since 1937 it has been based at a site near Wokingham in Berkshire, having taken over the former buildings of Wixenford School. Occupying 130 acres of grounds, Ludgrove is one of the last remaining prep schools to provide full fortnightly boarding.

Fees & Bursaries. School fees are charged termly and cover all the costs incurred in the usual course of a boy’s education and boarding during the term. From September 2024 the fee is £11,766 per term. They are invoiced in advance and payable by the first day of each term.
31 de oct. de 2023 · Ludgrove is the last all-boys, all-boarding prep school. The headmaster Simon Barber and his wife, Sophie, head of pastoral care, use the phrase ‘fortnightly boarding’, since there is an exeat every other weekend. Most of the 186 boys join at eight, and ‘the majority of parents have come on a personal recommendation,’ says Sophie.
