Recently, Magdalen College (pronounced “Maudlin”) came first in the rankings. Magdalen is generally regarded as one of the three grand colleges of Oxford, the others being Christ Church and New College. It was founded in 1458 by William of Waynflete, Bishop of Winchester and later Lord High Chancellor of England.

Magdalen College. Magdalen is home to truly beautiful surroundings as well as a real community. Addison’s Walk and the Deer Park offer a perfect break from the library and there’s always something happening around college. Food. Our hall food is good and quite cheap. Breakfast is around £2.50 and lunch and dinner is about £4.
