13 de oct. de 2020 · Mary Lou Williams falleció de cáncer de vejiga el 28 de mayo de 1981 en Durham (Carolina del Norte) a los 71 años de edad. Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Goodman y Andy Kirk, entre otras figuras, asistieron a su funeral en la Iglesia de San Ignacio de Loyola.
