28 de jul. de 2020 · Is Moritz Zimmermann a real person? No, at least not in the sense that How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast) used the same name and exact same setup. But there was certainly a teenage German drug lord who ran his own business via the dark web, and his story is very similar to Moritz's.

Moritz Zimmermann is the protagonist of How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast). He is a nerdy high school student who co-founded MyDrugs, with Lenny Sander, where they started selling ecstasy. The eldest son of policeman Jens Zimmermann, and brother to Marie Zimmermann, Moritz lives in the small town of Rinseln, Germany. Moritz is a stereotypical nerd outcast, his main interests being related to computers or video games, or hanging out with his best friend Lenny running their small business MyTems. Despite this, Moritz seems to have had a successful romantic life, dating popular classmate Lisa Novak. When Lisa returns to Rinseln from her year abroad in the United States, she abruptly breaks up with him, or in her words, 'taking a break'. Upset and confused, Moritz visits her Facebook profile, where he discovers she has been living a wild life in the US, partying and taking MDMA pills with friends.
Moritz confides in his best friend, Lennard Sander, who informs him that Lisa has taken an interest in Daniel Riffert, the school 'rich kid' and drug dealer. Jealous, Moritz devises a plan to buy ecstasy in an attempt to win Lisa back.
Moritz does some stalking and discovers that Daniel takes a detour on his daily runs to a pizzeria in rural Rinseln. Moritz and Lenny travel there, where Moritz meets small-time Albanian dealer Jakob 'Buba' Otto. Moritz, visibly nervous, asks Buba if he sells ecstacy, to which he is quickly dismissed. Determined, however, Moritz fills Buba in on his situation, and Buba, with a change of heart, provides Moritz with his stash of pills, provided he pay him an extra sum of money. When Moritz fails to pay, Buba cancels the deal, taking Moritz's payment as well.
Lenny, concerned, texts Moritz, to which Moritz initiates 'Plan B', a false Android app that sends photos of Buba to the 'cloud' and Moritz's Facebook friends. Moritz takes the pills and leaves the pizzeria with Lenny, confident that he will win back Lisa.
Moritz arrives at Lisa's party with the pills, where he and Lenny are greeted by Fritzi, high on MDMA. Moritz attempts to get to Lisa, but is stopped by Dan, who fears Moritz will cause the partygoers to have a 'bad trip'. Moritz, initially deterred, begins a rant against Dan, who quickly retaliates, ending in Moritz getting a broken nose. Devastat...
That night, Moritz is editing a promotional video featuring him and Lenny. After replaying a section of video that upsets him, Moritz decides to turn their MyTems video game item shop into a functioning darknet drug market. Moritz spends the night reprogramming MyTems into MyDrugs, and by morning has succeeded.
Moritz travels to Lenny's house. where he admits his actions. Initially mad, Lenny forgives Moritz, and the two work on securing and launching MyDrugs onto the darknet, where they meet little success. He died
