    Lord Louis Mountbatten was born in 1900 and became a British Royal Navy officer and statesman. He was Prince Philip’s uncle and he was the last Viceroy of India in 1947. He then served as Chief of the Defence Staff in the British Armed Forces until 1965, and also held the position of chairman of the Nato Military Committee for a year.
