28 de mar. de 2024 · Nicholas II, the last Russian emperor (1894–1917), whose autocratic but indecisive rule and disastrous military ventures led to the Russian Revolutions of 1905 and 1917. He abdicated in 1917 but was killed, along with his wife, Alexandra, and their children, by the Bolsheviks the following year.

Hace 2 días · Nicholas II (Nikolai Alexandrovich Romanov; [d] 18 May [ O.S. 6 May] 1868 – 17 July 1918) or Nikolai II was the last reigning Emperor of Russia, King of Congress Poland and Grand Duke of Finland from 1 November 1894 until his abdication on 15 March 1917.

Born in a region near Cluny, Gerard was most likely exposed to the reformist zeal of the monastery there. As bishop of Florence from 1045, he imposed the canonical life on the priests of his diocese.
