29 de mar. de 2024 · Rikard Nordraak was a Norwegian composer perhaps best known as the composer of the music for the Norwegian national anthem, “Ja, vi elsker dette landet” (1864; “Yes, We Love This Land”). Nordraak began composing music as a child.

When Norway itself was liberated from Nazi Germany in 1945, relatively few Norwegian Americans under the age of 40 still spoke Norwegian as their primary language (although many still understood the language).
