Pinkfong is a fox. He has pink fur, magenta eyes, and wears a small golden crown on his head. He wears a gold star necklace named Pio that holds magical powers. It is one of the main focuses of the show Pinkfong Wonderstar.
Pinkfong is a young cheerful fox, often shown singing in most of his videos. According to the official website and the episode Welcome to Wonderville, he is described to be "the prince of Stariawith boundless curiosity", who loves music more than anything.
Creation
Pinkfong was formerly the mascot of "SSBOOKS/SMARTBOOKS," whose parent company is "SAMSUNG PUBLISHING CO (삼성출판사)". Pinkfong then became the mascot of their parent company, and then their company of the same name.
Name
Before the name of "Pinkfong (핑크퐁)" came around, he had many names. Pinkfong's name used to be "kick-kick (킥킥)", then it changed to "bebifong (베비퐁)" and "Fong (퐁)" again. Pinkfong's name resembles a pink fox and a phone.
