12 de jun. de 2023 · In London and the UK, the postcode is the last part of the address, right after the city. For example: W1-5DT. A London postcode, unlike American zip codes or Indian pin codes, are alphanumeric, meaning they contain both letters and numbers. These codes are used to identify specific blocks in London.
Example UK Postcode formats. Postcodes must be in uppercase. Each postcode consists of two parts. The first part (outward postcode, or outcode) is separated by a single space from the second part (the inward postcode, or in-code).
The following central London single-digit districts have been further divided by inserting a letter after the digit and before the space: EC1-EC4 (but not EC50), SW1, W1, WC1, WC2, and part of E1 (E1W), N1 (N1C and N1P), NW1 (NW1W) and SE1 (SE1P).
