Princess Irene of Hesse and by Rhine (Irene Luise Marie Anne; 11 July 1866 – 11 November 1953), later Princess Henry of Prussia, was the third child and third daughter of Princess Alice of the United Kingdom and Louis IV, Grand Duke of Hesse and by Rhine. Her maternal grandparents were Queen Victoria and Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.

29 de jul. de 2020 · Princess Irene of Hesse and by Rhine was born on 11 July 1866 as the daughter of Princess Alice of the United Kingdom and the future Louis IV, Grand Duke of Hesse. She was their third daughter, following Victoria and Elisabeth. Brothers Ernest Louis and Friedrich would follow, as would two more sisters; Alix and Marie.

Princess Irene of Hesse and by Rhine was the third daughter of Princess Alice of the United Kingdom, and Grand Duke Ludwig IV of Hesse and by Rhine.She is often overlooked, as history tends to focus on two of her sisters – Ella and Alix – who both married into the Russian Imperial Family and tragically lost their lives at the hands of the Bolsheviks in 1918.
