Isabel I de Inglaterra ( Greenwich, 7 de septiembre de 1533- Richmond, 24 de marzo de 1603), apodada la Reina Virgen, Gloriana o la Buena Reina Bess, fue la reina de Inglaterra e Irlanda desde su ascenso al trono, el 17 de noviembre de 1558, hasta su fallecimiento, en 1603. Su reinado, de más de cuatro décadas, fue conocido como la era isabelina.

26 de abr. de 2024 · Elizabeth I (born September 7, 1533, Greenwich, near London, England—died March 24, 1603, Richmond, Surrey) was the queen of England (1558–1603) during a period, often called the Elizabethan Age, when England asserted itself vigorously as a major European power in politics, commerce, and the arts.
The man claimed to be the illegitimate son of Elizabeth and Robert Dudley, with his age being consistent with birth during the 1561 illness. He was taken to Madrid for investigation, where he was examined by Francis Englefield, a Catholic aristocrat exiled to Spain and secretary to King Philip II.

Elizabeth I - the last Tudor monarch - was born at Greenwich on 7 September 1533, the daughter of Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn. Her early life was full of uncertainties, and her chances of succeeding to the throne seemed very slight once her half-brother Edward was born in 1537.
