RAF Shawbury's mission statement is "To provide a safe, efficient, and effective airfield base environment; to enable and support, commanded, lodged and parented units; and to deliver wider Defence and RAF tasks as directed". The station is home to the School of Air Operations Control. No.1 Flying Training School

· February 23, 2022 ·. Yesterday, the Station Commander welcomed the new Director of Flying Training, No.22 Group, Air Commodore Ian Sharrocks OBE MA RAF to RAF Shawbury.
