Robert I of Normandy (22 June 1000 – July 1035), also known as Robert the Magnificent and by other names, was a Norman noble of the House of Normandy who ruled as duke of Normandy from 1027 until his death in 1035.

Robert the Magnificent (French: le Magnifique) (22 June 1000 - 1/3 July 1035), was the sixth Duke of Normandy from 1027 until he died returning from a pilgrimage. Robert's reign was a turbulent period in the history of Normandy. He was the father of William the Conqueror, who in 1066 became King of England.

He is Duke of Normandy and father of William the Conqueror. Of a fiery disposition and at 17 he takes over the succession of his brother Richard III of Normandy at the head of the Duchy. Shortly after a conflict arises, which sees them face to face at Falaise for the control of the Château.
