But during World War I, due to anti-German sentiment, King George V decided it was time for a change. So, he swapped the house name from Saxe-Coburg and Gotha to Windsor, inspired by the castle.

Hace 4 días · Given that the Saxe-Coburg-Gotha’s, sorry, Windsors, treated Diana terribly AND lack the British aristocratic pedigree of the Spencer’s it’s no surprise he’s erased them from his life. I think every relationship he has is purely transactional.
