1 de may. de 2024 · Saint George, early Christian martyr who became an ideal of martial valor and selflessness in the Middle Ages. The legend of George’s slaying of a dragon is much represented in art. He is the patron saint of England and of Georgia and is venerated as one of the 14 Holy Helpers.

23 de abr. de 2024 · Garter Day traditionally takes place in June at St George's Chapel in Windsor - the wedding venue of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex - as St George is the Order's patron saint. It was not held in 2020 or 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
