19 de nov. de 2020 · Our eyes certainly popped when my grandfather unveiled a golf cart-sized kid version of the surrey and let us drive it all over the farm. Oh, the excitement of pedaling fast in the “Surrey with the Fringe on Top.” That surrey my grandfather bought us girls, back in the 1960s, was a red metal-framed contraption with rubber pedals.
Offered here is a vintage horse-drawn carriage finished in Black with decorative Apple Green pinstriping on the body and wheels. The entire body is formed of complete wood construction, while the chassis is wood with steel wrapped reinforcement for added strength. The 16-spoke wood wheels measure approximately 42” up front and 46” at the rear.

It only had room for the driver and a single passenger though usually there was a small seat for the groom behind the body. Some gigs had foldable heads (hoods) for protection from the elements.
