Susanna Lee Hoffs (born January 17, 1959) is an American singer, guitarist, songwriter, author, and actress. She, Debbi Peterson , and Vicki Peterson founded the Bangles in 1981. They released their first album All Over the Place on Columbia Records in 1984.
Born in Los Angeles into a creative family, Susanna grew up in the company of writers, thinkers, painters, and filmmakers with an ever-present soundtrack provided by the Beatles and other artists of the 1960s. As a young girl, she loved to sing and play guitar, going on to study theatre, dance, and art at University of California, Berkeley.
