Autoportrait (Tamara in a Green Bugatti) is a self-portrait by the Polish artist Tamara de Lempicka, which she painted in Paris in 1928. It was commissioned by the German fashion magazine Die Dame for the cover of the magazine, to celebrate the independence of women.

Autoportrait (Tamara in a Green Bugatti) is Tamara Łempicka’s most famous and most often reproduced work. It quickly became an iconic effigy of a modern interwar period woman.
La artista se representa al volante de un Bugatti de color verde, uno de los coches más potentes y modernos de la época. Aparece ataviada con guantes y gorro, en un estilo un tanto masculino, además de un pañuelo en el que se intuye la velocidad del vehículo por su forma de moverse.
Lempicka se autorretrató conduciendo un lujoso Bugatti verde, mostrándose como una mujer con poder, con movilidad e independencia, sin necesidad de la presencia masculina (a no ser para uso propio).
