The Addams Family is an American macabre/black comedy sitcom based on Charles Addams's New Yorker cartoons. The 30-minute television series was responsible for taking the unnamed characters in the single-panel gag cartoons and giving them names, back stories, and a household setting.

The Addams Family is an American television series based on the characters in Charles Addams' cartoons from The New Yorker magazine. The 30-minute series was shot in black and white and aired for two seasons in 64 installments on ABC from 18 September 1964 to 8 April 1966.
