They are the second most common intracranial schwannoma, far less common than vestibular schwannoma, and has a predominantly benign growth. Epidemiology. Patients usually present in middle age, typically the 3 rd to 4 th decades.

  2. Intracranial trigeminal schwannomas are rare tumors. Patients usually present with symptoms of trigeminal nerve dysfunction, the most common symptom being facial pain. MRI is the imaging modality of choice and is usually diagnostic in the appropriate clinical setting.
