25 de abr. de 2024 · Founded in 1851, Trinity College in Toronto is the smallest and one of the most prestigious colleges on the St. George Campus at the University of Toronto. The College has over 1,800 undergraduate students who are enrolled in the university’s Faculty of Arts & Science, and about 140 students in Trinity’s Faculty of Divinity, Canada’s oldest Anglican theological school.
The Faculty of Divinity at Trinity College is intimate, vibrant, ecumenical and international. Recent students have come to Trinity from across Canada and the United States, as well as Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa, Caribbean and Scandinavia. Our current students are Anglican, Lutheran, Eastern Orthodox, Baptist and Mennonite.
Trinity College (occasionally referred to as The University of Trinity College) is a college federated with the University of Toronto, founded in 1851 by Bishop John Strachan. Strachan originally intended Trinity as a university of strong Anglican alignment, after the University of Toronto severed its ties with the Church of England .
There are now many centers throughout Canada and continues to expand. In 2007, Trinity College London appointed Lum Fun Lee as its North American coordinator. Trinity's examination program in Canada has expanded to include Music, Choral Assessment, Speech & Drama, Musical Theatre, Performance Arts, and Communications Skills.
