As a consecutive program for graduate students, the Master Courses in Material Science require an approriate Bachelor degree. Beside the dedicated material topics (e.g. physical metallurgy, crystallography, materials chemistry, mechanisms of mechanical strength, polymeric materials, ceramics), a qualifying bachelor program must have a strong record in natural science and mathematics.
Once you have been accepted into the program of studies by the University of Stuttgart, you may apply for a dormitory room by completing the online application on the website of the Studierendenwerk Stuttgart before the requisite deadline. Be sure to select your correct Double Master’s program in the section “Data about the course of study.”

You don't need to take courses from the Cognitive Science, Computer Science and Linguistics catalogs. The only requirement is that you pass at least 30 CP in the Computational Linguistics catalog (at least 18 in one of the subcatalogs CoreCL, AppliedNLP and SpeechProc – your choice – and at least six in each of the other two).
